Today I have to put myself out there and speak of what is heavy on my heart. Faith.  I believe we all have our own measurements of faith; I have family, friends, neighbors, loved ones, from all walks of life, with a myriad of views.  According to Merriam-Webster, faith is defined as:

1 unquestioning belief that does not require proof or evidence; 2 unquestioning belief in God, religious tenets, etc.; 3 a religion or a system of religious beliefs; 4 anything believed; 5 complete trust, confidence, or reliance; 6 allegiance to some person or thing; loyalty.

Ironically for me, all of those definitions apply, and to every aspect of my life. I am a Christian.  I am a Mother.  I am a Friend.  I am an Entrepreneur.  Not too many years ago I was a Child.  At that time, faith came in the form of begging and pleading with the expectation of being given.  That was the blind faith of a child! I was listening to the topic of prayer on the radio today, and the different things for what children pray.  One mother phoned in to say that her toddler, when hungry, chants “Amen!”  The child’s idea is that after “Amen” is said the food is usually served.  Said child has the expectation of being fed after the “Amen” is declared.  Wow, that must be faith!

As many of you are aware, I have recently launched a Barnraiser campaign. It took a while to get up the courage to do this; I’m not one to readily ask for things, I’m much more comfortable giving.  At this point, though, in order to continue giving I must receive.  It’s a vicious circle in my opinion!  So I bit the bullet, and launched my campaign, asking for Backers.  What finally made me comfortable enough to do this?  Faith.  Every single definition mentioned earlier applies to my desire for Mill Stream Farm to continue and grow.  I have unquestioning belief, complete trust, confidence and reliance, and full allegiance and loyalty to you, my customers, that we will make this happen together.  Amen friends?  AMEN!
